About Us

Insurance and Benefits Advisors is a service of American Business Planning, LLC. IBA is the division that deals with insurance, retirement planning, employee benefits, and legacy planning. We are compensated through product sales, and in some cases via advisory fees. Our firm is not obligated to any financial institution, and we are able to do business through nearly all of them. For example, there are nearly 900 life and health insurance carriers available from which we can choose.

We recommend only those products and solutions that we would use ourselves for our own families or businesses. You will never see us recommend one carrier over another based on our level of compensation. In today's insurance world, even the structuring of the same product from a given carrier can result in a more or less favorable result for the client. When we say we are “People  in  your  corner!”®, we mean it!

Our firm seeks to work with companies and high-earning individuals. While the name "Insurance and Benefits Advisors" was not adopted until 2014, American Business Planning, LLC is 7 years old, and its owner, Larry Bell, dates back 52 years in insurance, legacy planning, and employee benefits.

Anne Bell, co-owner with husband Larry, has a background as a registered nurse. She has worked with a wide range of patients - especially the elderly. Anne has owned her own personal care home, which took care of scores of seniors. Anne is particularly well suited to work in the group and employee benefits arena, having had experience dealing with large institutions in her past life. She can also offer insight to those trying to plan for the possibility of needing long term care.

Insurance and Benefits Advisors is based near The Heights area of Houston, Texas. However, we advise many of our clients - even in distant cities - using advanced online communication capabilities.
